Fringe

Seasons one and two finally finished, yay. So an FBI agent solves paranormal cases with the help of a doctor who used to do all sorts of experiments back in the days and who was in a mental institution for 17 years, heh. Also his son is needed to keep an eye on him. And so they go and try to understand what the *pattern* of events are, while the doc is in his lab, trying to remember if he’s done something similar already. Got some pretty good ideas in it about making new creatures and it’s *usually* explained how it can happen even =D

First season was way better than I thought it would be, but it kinda went *meh* at some point where they just pushed more questions on the viewer and the answers didn’t add up. Also there’s quite a lot of *flaws* but I can overlook those =D. But yeah, it started dragging for too long and I’m kinda making this post to remind myself how many seasons I’ve watched, dunno if I really want to try season 3 so soon even.

It’s still a good show and has lots of character development in it, action and all that jazz. Just don’t like the fact that producers think they can come up with random stuff for some episodes that make no sense. Just because it’s sci-fi doesn’t mean you can do anything you want =S Oh well

Un-Go

A nice detective story with a quite cool detective and his partner, who has this nice magical ability to ask one question (per person, ever) which the person Has to answer. There’s a lot of stuff happening in this one so I don’t want to spoil it. The stories are believable (at least in their world so to say), characters are nice and you can imagine what they feel and why they act like they do. All in all a good show, but can’t really give a detective series an explanation nor do the pics really show what’s happening. Have to watch it =F

He also has a title of *the defeated detective* as his observation is always *corrected by the state department* if you know what I mean =F

Kyoukaisen-jou no Horizon

Or “Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere”, is about a boy who just wants to confess to a girl she loves. The bad thing is, she’s dead, but there’s someone who looks just like her tho she’s an automated “doll“. This anime is really hard to explain what’s going on without spoiling anything. Jeez.

So there is this perverted guy in class who’s always happy and always speaks his mind and protects his friends. And naturally he’s accompanied by a lot of cute girls. It’s a heavily political anime actually, which you don’t really see at the beginning with all the fighting going on. The new mechanical magic which appears in quite many anime, where they use some sort of device to call upon.. something. A nice add-on is that their school is the only one that can make offerings to gods to change and manipulate spells. It can go deeper into detail itself so I wont stop at it =)

A quite awesome watch, as people change sides and theorize who will do what and what they can do to change the outcome of an event. And what enemies can and can’t do until you do something. Plus the nice combat, devilish artifacts that can call upon the apocalypse and strategies within their limits.

Oh yeah, they fly around in a cloaking ship so that the other Lords don’t notice them and don’t cause conflicts and such

Tori needs to test the feel of boobs to know better how to act when he goes to confess as the girl has the same boob size. Now he can describe the feel of her boobs better =D

Freezing

It’s very appropriate as it’s around –30C outside. It starts with an academy event where girls with Stigmata in their body fight each other to determine this years champion. The stigmata give each user a different power if called upon. And a second year second year student pretty much wipes the floor with all other students. An infamous girl who’s known on being ruthless and devilish. And then the meets a boy who’s sent to the academy to be kinda an assistant to a girl with the stigmata as to do actual combat and prevent an alien invasion they need to have a partner.

So yeah, pretty bloody, has lots of action and nice characters =) And *cough* lots of boob-shots, because of the *paper clothes*. So it’s one of the *cute half naked girls with big boobs beat the shit out of each-other for no apparent reason* type of anime, which I naturally like =D The main girl is a loner type but somehow feels that the guy is different and makes her feel/think stuff differently. The guy also feels attached to her but it started because she reminds him of his sister who saved the city from the invasion some years ago. The aliens use a barrier that stops movement within it’s reach. the girls need the assistant to counter/neutralize it with their *Freezing* field.

There’s a lot of blood mainly because it’s a *controlled environment* on school grounds and the doctors at the medical center can patch you up even if you lost a limb or two, which is what people lose here quite often =F

 

Archer

Hah, one of the funniest things I’ve seen (at least coming from the US). A top of the line secret agent who’s mom just happens to be the head of the corporation. And he’s basically just playing it all on luck, charm and… well… luck, pretty much =D The show is heavily based on dialogue so I couldn’t really take much fun pics but it’s all fun *situation moments* I guess. So his *lower* agents always come to save the day and he still manages to either mess stuff up or be the light of the show, usually both. It’s awesome and I’m waiting for more =F Just throwing this text out there to show that I like it I guess, and so I can delete the old eps of it to gain room >_> Kept them or taking pics only anyway =)

Samurai Girl Real Bout High School

Actually I was searching for something else but this did somehow stick out from the folders and I decided to check one ep… and then checked some more eps… and so on, and soon there was so few eps left I couldn’t just pass it.

At first it looked pretty decent. A girl goes to school, some ninjas attack her, the class president sets up a camera and broadcasts the whole fight to the school Naturally she defeats everyone and stays the champion of the school. So yeah, more people attack her and finally some *boss characters* show up. But then… she’s transported or teleported rather to another dimension, where she fights actual monsters, and can’t go back until all are defeated. And the more times she gets there, the more she has to defeat. Well ok, I can see the point of doing that and could imagine the storyline still pretty well, as there doesn’t really need to be really explained too much at the start of an anime. But it kinda turned into a drama after a while and then turned into fillers as she did just random battles that weren’t really connected to any particular meaning. The show was nevertheless fun enough to watch it all. Tho I was hoping for a little more explained settings. It has an ok drama and love story tho, so I guess that’s what they were going for.

Hm, ok this one was a little more detailed and borderline spoiler filled text but I guess I let my emotions go too much because I couldn’t really understand the story of it that well. At least who is who and does what because of what. Oh well. Her “love rival” plays nice pranks on her to get the guy for herself so it’s not that depressed =)

Overall it was decent but not really to stick out I think. Even the added superpowers didn’t really help this time

Hard Reset

Heh, i bought Hard Reset recently, mostly just because to get a Steam Achievement but the game is pretty good Visuals were nice, weapon idea was awesome, enemies were pretty decent. Story was ok but ended like most anime: half way =F

Visuals were nice as they easily got me in the mood and feeling of a futuristic city that is overrun by machines. The comic-style story adds to the feel also. Oh yeah, forgot to add it’s a fps xD

Enemies were machines only, some small and swarmed you, some long range snipers, some brutes and some rocket dudes that were actually pretty tough.

Weapons were pretty awesome for me because they used a nice idea, having one weapon and *modifying* it… and i mean it even visually modified it. You had two weapons to choose from, they seemed pretty identical besides the small fact that one uses bullets and one is a energy gun… Naturally i went with lightning =D Projectile weapons are my preference in Eve Online but here a blaster/railgun/lightning gun is more awesome =)

Add-ons and upgrades were ok too, gives more heath/armor and ammo regeneration and they are used to get the new upgrades too. Damn railgun can see through walls and naturally also shoots through them =)
Seems like it’s mostly build on shooting mobs and get all the secrets like Painkiller, but that one was kinda it’s own style and maybe i’ll talk about that later.

Hard Reset is a nice game i really enjoyed until it lasted, which is actually not that much. I think i finished it under 3 hours. Without finding all the secrets tho.
Btw, i got a new forum =D No idea how it implement it like T-Virus did

Ok, didn’t get many pics for now as I just randomly took those. And didn’t really bother with the projectile weapon. I’m sure I’ll play it through with that gun also and take some pics and add them *some day*. I usually get too excited with a game and don’t really take pics as I’m too into it to think about it. That or the game is too boring to write or take pics about. Now that I have a forum I’ma post more game posts I guess, or at least I try =) I guess I’ll get some videos going until SOPA deletes every gameplay video there is <_<

Tiger and Bunny

A nice superpower based anime where people with powers (also called Next) can become Heroes to protect the city. The city seems to make most monies off Hero TV, which shows the Heroes in action and gives them points for doing good. Our main character seems to be falling behind as he keeps destroying stuff and has to pay for it =F So he is forced to work together with a partner to stay employed. Naturally they don’t like each other. But they get new battle suits so that’s good =F

It was pretty decent. Took me over a week to watch the whole thing tho which usually shows that it wasn’t That good or that I was busy… and why would I be busy at x-mas or new years, so yeah. It has funny moments but usually it’s still about power suits and catching the bad guys, mixed in with mysterious pasts and other problems of the heroes.

Is good to watch still and I enjoyed this one too, but I guess I’m more into the development of one’s superpowers more than just letting them solve different problems. And power suits aren’t really my style so I guess it added it’s thing. Still, it had some moments where I knew long ago what will happen and moments where I knew long ago what will happen and I was wrong =F

Tekken – Blood Vengeance

A nice 3D or Final Fantasy style anime. As I never played the Tekken games because I have no console I dunno what the story is about, but seems like when two brothers get together, their father appears and beats the crap out of them =D

So yeah, nice fighting in nice visuals, especially on the girls *wink*. Story is.. well.. normal for an anime I guess. Didn’t make too much sense to me, but again, it’s a movie plus as far as I know it is a fighting game only where there is no real storyline anyways… Which reminds me I have to finish the Mortal Kombat story clips on Machinima. Characters were nice, dialogue was good and it was enough funny even, which I search for in recent releases. It either has to be serious and explaining or funny and *what the hell*. And besides, it has a panda in it =D What else do you need?

Redline

Racing to the extremes. Not really your everyday racing neither. Racers from the whole galaxy come and try to be the fastest in their over pimped cars. Everyone has their own reasons to be the best as always =D

It’s more of a *what the hell, heh* type of racing than the *he shifted to second gear to take the u-turn at that specific rpm* type. It’s quite full of racing-action and mixed in few bits of romance and tragedy I guess. People just try to be the first but story mostly concentrates on the guy in the trans am and the girl in the red hover car. Was a nice movie, had several *what the fuck* moments… (not to confuse with *what the hell, heh* moments…) but explaining every action they take and their character development in a movie time is pretty impossible. Also making this into a tv show is tricky as they have to cut the race to several eps ‘case there happens too much so I guess it’s a good mix. Coulda used a little more reasoning but for a movie it was well enough =)
